Adam and Eve were created by God in His image. The Creator gave instructions concerning how to navigate the creation and stay safe. The Creator had regular fellowship with them. Everything was going on well with them until Satan possessed the serpent to deceive Eve.
How did the enemy deceive Eve? He countered God’s Word and Eve believed it! The Creator gave His Word to His creatures, Adam and Eve. Another creature countered the Words of the Creator, and Eve believed it! The serpent told Eve, ‘you shall not surely die’. Didn’t she die? She died both physically and spiritually. The enemy can be emphatic in asserting lies!
We live in a world where the Word of God is wrested on a daily basis. Cronies are poised to counter the Word of God, giving convenient interpretation to it.
They counter God’s Word on:
Salvation.
Prayer.
Bible reading.
Obedience.
Holy living.
Holy Spirit endument.
Giving to God.
Christian dressing.
Worship ethics.
… and so on.
Who are you going to believe? Them or your Creator? These enemies may be ignorant pastors, other religious leaders, Church drop-outs, friends, family members, social media opinion leaders, influencers, celebrities, etc.
Imagine believing the enemies of your soul instead of the Word of God on the experience of salvation. Imagine where such a stance will take you.
God’s Word is clear on salvation: only Jesus can save from sin. He died for you. He died so you might have eternal life. There is no other way to God except through Him. Don’t believe the enemy of your soul. Believe God’s Word and live.
