The Superintendent is tasked with:
Spiritual Leadership
- Preaching and Teaching: Overseeing the doctrinal integrity of sermons and teachings across various ministries.
- Discipleship and Evangelism: Leading efforts to disciple believers and reach the unchurched, particularly in underserved areas.
- Vision Casting: Defining and articulating the spiritual vision of the organisation, ensuring alignment with the mission of preparing souls for God.
Administrative Oversight
- Organisational Leadership: Supervising the overall operations of Urgent Mission to Nations and affiliated ministries such as Evangelical Faith Church and Melita Bible College.
- Programme Management: Guiding community-wide evangelistic activities, Bible schools, and missionary outreaches, such as the Gospel Mission Adventures and Literature Guerrilla Evangelism.
- Mentoring and Training: Supporting the development of ministers and church leaders through specialised training programmes and schools of ministry.
Outreach and Impact
- Mission Work: Spearheading evangelistic efforts in “regions beyond,” focusing on culturally relevant methods to share faith and serve local communities.
- Community Engagement: Leading initiatives that include social, economic, and medical outreaches to marginalised populations.
Pastoral Care
- Member Support: Providing spiritual guidance, counselling, and care to congregants and ministry workers.
- Conflict Resolution: Addressing disputes within the ministry and maintaining unity among members.
The role embodies both pastoral care and strategic leadership, ensuring the organisation remains focused on its core mission to advance the Gospel and disciple believers for kingdom service.
