Becoming a Christian puts you at the intersection of sociey and the Cross. Learning to lead your normal life, pleasing the Lord, and striking a balance in your routines are important disciplines for the Christian.

Here are 4 simple but important grooming tips for the beginner in Christ:

1. Eat well if you have the means. If you do not have the means, pray that God would provide for you. A dietitian can advise you well on what and how to eat healthily.

2. Exercise yourself – a brisk walk for about 30 minutes at a stretch, a day is recommended by medical authorities for persons who are not involved in vigorous activities during the day. Physicians and Physiotherapists may recommend other forms of exercises.

3. Dress neatly, modestly, moderately, smartly, and scripturally. Avoid worldly and superfluous dressings. Your dressing tells a lot about you. God is interested in the way you dress. Allow Him to control your dressing and adornment. As you study more of God’s Word, you will learn how to dress to please God.

4. Personal hygiene: Bath regularly. Clean your teeth regularly, wash and iron your clothes and under-wears regularly. Let no odour exhume from you. If you will get a simple health/hygiene text, it will help you.

‘If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.’ (John 13:17 KJV)
