When Paul became a believer – when he made the commitment to follow Jesus, God’s grace abounded for him and led him into a deeper and fulfilling relationship with God. He grew until he became an effective and a mighty witness of Christ’s resurrection and Kingdom
Once we make the commitment to follow Christ, He becomes commited to making our walk with God a success. He bestows upon us the grace to run the race that is set before us with candour. When we allow Him, He does all our work in us.
This is why anyone who comes to God through Christ should trust Him to lead their way and to direct their life. They should not get worried about how to stay steadfast to the end of their journey. They should just cling to the one who is the Way.
God is not committed to the one who begins their journey with God and begins to fashion out other ways to follow Him aside the path that He has charted. He is not committed to the one who follows other people aside the Way. He is not committed to the one who claims he is already on the way when he has not actually started the journey.
Let God have His way in your life. Let Him lead you. Begin the journey with Him. Stay with Him, dependent only on the grace that He bestows, and the rest will be history. Be like Paul, grow in leaps and bounds and become an effective and a mighty witness of Christ’s resurrection and Kingdom. Amen.
