The tendency these days is to despise grace.

We despise grace because we are familiar with it, someone asks us to, we are ignorant about it, we do not like the carrier, we think that we know or that we already have that grace, and so on.

When we despise grace, we miss its blessings and are not able to access it. The grace of God that brings salvation became available to all men. The mediator of that grace lived among a population on the Asian continent but many of those people despised the grace that He portended. They thought that He was just a Carpenter.

Everything about His life was foretold by many prophets who lived several years before He was born, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He preached, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He healed, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He liberated people from the bondage of the enemy, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He multiplied food, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He walked upon the sea, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He raised the dead, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He was crucified as written in the scriptures, which they read regularly, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He rose from the dead, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He ascended into heaven, but they thought that He was just a Carpenter; nothing more.

He has promised to come again, but many are thinking that that wv5ent will not happen.

Blindness. Cheer blindness. Open your eyes and see. The evidence that Jesus was more than a Carpenter, and is all that the scriptures say that He is, is all around us.

Don’t despise grace; embrace it. You need His grace to save your soul. Ask God to forgive your sins and accept you into His family. Ask Jesus to come into your heart to become your Lord and personal Saviour.

Will you do it?
